Located in the heart of Melbourne Bayside suburb of Brighton, the Firbank Grammar Boarding House is set within the beautiful grounds of our all-girls Senior Campus, just 1km from the famous Brighton Beach.
Our boutique Boarding House is small in size but big in personality. Tovell House is a warm and nurturing environment which celebrates each boarder as an individual whilst creating a culture of sisterhood amongst their boarding peers. Our experienced staffstaff ensure that every girl can reach her potential with the best possible academic, emotional and social support.
Since 1909, the Boarding House has been an integral part of life at Firbank in Melbourne. Students from rural Victoria, interstate and overseas live onsite in Tovell House, our purpose-built boarding facility. Year 12 students have their own study bedrooms and all other boarders are in twin-share study bedrooms.
Students who board at Firbank are usually involved in a range of extra-curricular activities and are well integrated into the School community. On weekends, our boarders are free to leave the grounds and explore Melbourne with approved host families.
“The Boarding House is a place to learn, a place to relax, a place of comfort, friendship and independence. We are more than friends, we are sisters, we are family and Firbank is our home.” Captain of Boarders.
