St Patrick’s College is a Catholic secondary school for boys located in Ballarat, Victoria. The College was founded in 1893 by the Christian Brother and aims to provide boys with an engaging, enjoyable and holistic education that liberates them and leads them to a wisdom for life.

James and Deanna Hopper, a dedicated husband-and-wife with nearly 20 years of experience in boarding, lead a passionate team who provide a warm, supportive and structured environment where boys thrive academically, socially and personally. As parents of three St Pat’s boarders (2011-16), the Hoppers understand the unique journey of boarding life and are committed to fostering a strong sense of belonging and care.

Located within the grounds of St Patrick’s College, our boarding house was built in 2018 and provides students with exceptional accommodation arrangements.

Our boys live in purpose-designed rooms surrounded by first-class recreational, dining and study facilities, offering a seamless integration of academic and residential life.

With a maximum of two boys per room, our accommodation is more akin to their own bedrooms at home rather than a dormitory environment. Each bedroom is equipped with modern amenities, while our shared bathrooms feature individual cubicles for comfort and privacy.

St Patrick’s offers a variety of boarding options, including:

• Full-time boarding (7 nights a week)
• Weekly boarding (5 nights a week)
• Weekday boarding (4 nights a week)
• Flexi boarding (1-3 nights a week on demand, subject to bed availability)
