Boarding at Wesley

‘Learning in Residence’ (Boarding) is an innovative, holistic program open to students in Years 7 to 12 from across Australia and abroad. From the courses on offer to the architecture and location of the facility, everything has been designed to enhance student learning in a safe and supportive environment.

The boarding program at Wesley builds on more than a century of success in residential learning. It provides a contemporary, inclusive and coeducational program designed for students of today.

Situated within Wesley’s Glen Waverley campus, students have immediate access to the library, gym and sport, music and drama facilities. Students are supported with outstanding academic mentoring, pastoral care, and a range of extension and cocurricular opportunities to help them develop intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.

Residential Curriculum

The residential curriculum offered after school and on weekends is a comprehensive program that support students’ intellectual, social and physical development.

An evening of structured academic extension helps students consolidate what they have learnt that day. Small group tutorials and individual learning assistance provided by expert mentors and experienced College teaching staff also supports students in completing homework and assignments.

The evening program also covers employment preparation and career coaching, life skills, community service, leadership, physical health and fitness and holistic wellbeing.

Wesley places the highest value on academic excellence, and encourages each student to aspire to achieve excellence in all areas of learning. Wesley is one of the top Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) and International Baccalaureate (IB) schools in Australia, and one of the only schools in Victoria to offer the IB continuum from Primary through to Senior School.
