It’s giving me pause for thought. What does a boarding school look like in 2024? Just a generation or two ago it was more often the case that a school had boarders as a ‘side gig’ so to speak, a ‘school with boarding’.
Now we find that schools are truly boarding schools – schools that embrace their boarders, that grow their boarder numbers and schools that know the very essence of their culture and spirit begins in the boarding house.

Boarding is a critical component of the mission of The Scots College. It is not an add-on component for us. Roughly one in five boys at our Middle School and Senior School are part of our Boarding community. Boarders are, and always have been, an important part of College life.

Immersing Students in Adventure
The Scots College Adventure Academy program is truly an exciting and innovative program that aims to immerse students in challenge, adventure and real-life learning. This ten-week program, based around three peak outdoor adventure experiences, aims to challenge and extend students beyond their Glengarry experience.
