Since 1886, Wenona has been shaping grounded, outward-focused young women who lead with courage and serve with purpose. Located in North Sydney, Wenona is an independent, non-denominational day and boarding school for around 1,350 girls from Kindergarten to Year 12.
Just 48 boarders from Years 7 to 12 call our refurbished heritage accommodation home, a close-knit community where every girl is known, valued and supported. This warm boarding environment fosters genuine connections and lifelong friendships, while our central yet safe location adjacent to Victoria Cross Station, St Leonards Park and close to Sydney Harbour, offers the best of both worlds.
In an all-girls setting, young women discover their authentic selves. They take on leadership roles, explore diverse interests without limitation, and develop the confidence that comes from being seen and heard. Wenona’s Renaissance women concept, encouraging breadth across disciplines from STEM to the arts, ensures girls grow into well-rounded individuals ready to shape their world.
Our Boarding House connects directly to Wenona’s Library and Evening Study Centre, where dedicated staff and specialist teachers provide academic support every evening. Boarders participate fully in Wenona’s rich co-curricular program, from creative and performing arts to cadets, outdoor education and sport, all delivered by staff whose expertise lies in girls’ education.
Leadership and service learning initiatives, both local and international, bring alive our motto, that I may serve. Strong HSC and ATAR results reflect our culture of academic engagement and innovative teaching, preparing girls to pursue ambitious futures.
