Kambala is an independent girls, day and boarding school.
Founded in 1887, the school caters for girls from Preparatory (4 years old) to Year 12, with boarders generally entering the school from Year 7. Academic achievement is emphasized and there is a high standard of tuition with an excellent staff-to-student ratio. There is also a broad cultural, extra-curricular program including Critical Thinking, Creative Arts, Dance, Drama, Debating, Music, Sport and STEM.
The school’s outstanding academic success is particularly notable as it is one of the few non-selective independent schools.
Kambala offers both the Higher School Certificate and the prestigious International Baccalaureate diploma to girls in Year 11 and 12. Students may select either the IB or the HSC courses in senior years.
The campus is set within the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and boasts a breathtaking view of the harbour. Girls enjoy the open space of the oval and lawn areas and beautiful landscaped grounds.
Kambala is concerned with promoting the academic, social, emotional and physical wellbeing of all students. It is committed to working with students to produce a love of learning, self-respect and a real sense of community.
