Newington College was founded in 1863 and is a Uniting Church, GPS school for boys K-12. The Senior School and boarding house are located in Stanmore, on a major transport line and only minutes from Sydney University and the CBD. Two Prep campuses are located in Lindfield on Sydney’s North Shore and in Stanmore, in the Inner West.

The Boarding House accommodates 50 boys from year 9-12. Four staff members and their families live on site to ensure a high level of care and supervision for the boys. Newington strives to make the boarding house a home, where boys are safe, respected, supported and cared for.

Our inclusive, close-knit, multi-faith and multi-cultural teaching and student body come from diverse geographic areas across Sydney, NSW and overseas.

At Newington we aim to provide an education that challenges and enriches boys and prepares them to go out into the world with the attributes, skills and desire to change things for the better. Our balanced education program focuses on building character, caring for others and shaping the bright minds of the future.
